Jacobite Glasses-Drinks Charms
🏴 !! NEW ARRIVALS !! 🏴
HOT OFF THE WORKSHOP BENCH......
Following the launch of our Outlander-inspired drinks charms in collaboration with the ever-popular
we are delighted to offer our 'dram charms' direct to our customers.
We have now added the perfect partner for our charms with our Whisky Dram Glasses in a choice of
plain and engraved options ~ both styles beautiful, timeless and elegant
Perfect as housewarming gifts, or for a special Outlander/Scotland fan (we all know a least one!)
....... or perhaps just treat yourself!
The tartan we chose for the drinks charms launch was the Fraser Hunting Weathered Tartan, and we have now added some more Clan tartans
from the Fraser and MacKenzie ranges, so you can choose to collect a set of your very own!
The concept for our drinks charms originated from our love of Outlander, Tartan, Wedding traditions
and the mystical intrigue surrounding time travel!
Many of you will already know that, traditionally, it is seen as a token of good luck and prosperity
for a Bride to receive a sixpence coin on her Wedding Day to put in her shoe.
This custom is centuries old and we did some research to discover what a sixpence coin would have looked like in the mid to late 1700s
(in keeping with the Outlander time travel period).
We then had replica coins made to those exact specifications.
..and there's more
The beautiful Fraser Hunting Weathered Tartan was our choice for the backdrop to the charm
(this tartan was the inspiration for the 'Outlander' tartan featured in the show).
A rich, heavyweight cloth, each little 4cm swatch reflects a different section of the sett pattern, so no two look exactly the same
Time travel (according to Outlander legend) requires a gemstone in your possession to ensure safe passage through the stones,
so we've included a little sparkly acrylic 'gemstone' in a choice of colours
In these days of careful socialising, this is a fantastic way to identify your own glass in a very stylish way,
also providing a unique talking point for dinner guests or BBQ visitors!
Everyone can now easily remember which glass is theirs and be part of the Outlander movement!
